Ski Michigan – Skiing and Snowboarding in Michigan

New at Norway Mountain For 2007 – 2008

Norway Mountain has made extensive improvements in time for the 2007-2008 season. The most notable is the construction of a new beginner area complete with 2 new handle tows. The area will feature a large training area on the Von triple chair side and a novice terrain park with small to medium sized features on other side. The handle tows replace the old rope tow and provides the beginning skier and boarder with an easy and safe way to get back up the hill. Combine this with Norway Mountain’s large group of PSIA certified instructors and you have one of the best learn to ski and board centers in the U.P.

Norway didn’t stop there with additions. A new entrance road to the lodge was built that includes a drop of area at the east door of the lodge. The parking lot was expanded for additional vehicle parking and includes a large lot for busses. Access to the base area at the bottom of the ski area was improved with additional parking spaces, all within a short distance to the Thor lift. The food and beverage outpost is now at the top of the Von triple chair providing snacks and a great view of the Norway area.

Phase I of the Norway Mountain Development Project has been completed at the base area with 20 large lots; spread over 80 acres and all within walking distance of the lifts. Make Norway Mountain your home on these 1+ to 3+ acre home sites.
