Boyne Mountain – Weekend Rail Jam – February 26, 2011

We’re looking for skiers and snowboarders of all ages who like to grind rails to enter the Boyne Mountain Weekend Rail Jam.  The rail jam will take place near the bottom of the Superpipe at Boyne Mountain and will include music, professional announcing and prizes for the top finishers in each division.

Stuff you need to know:

    Registration 2pm – 3:30pm in the West lobby of the Civic Center at Boyne Mountain.

    • Entry Fee is $5.00
    • Divisions are dependant upon who signs up, but rest assured there will be divisions for boys, girls, skiers and snowboarders
    • Top finishers will receive BOYNE Gift Cards
    • Swag give aways
    • All competitors must wear a helmet

    Crystal Mountain – Powder Alert! 18″ of snow in 24 hours!

    18″ of snow since Tuesday. Over 170″ for the season! It’s been a magical season at Crystal Mountain this year, and skiers & riders were treated to yet another highlight on Thursday, February 19th as we received 18″ of snow in 24 hours.

     
     

    Treetops Resort – Presidents Weekend – February 17 – 21, 2011

    Treetops New Terrain Park

    NEW Terrain Equipment by BoardSPORT New this season, Treetops is recreating the terrain park that will focus on safety, flow and beginner-Intermediate skill levels. Treetops will work with BOARDSPORT to incorporate features such as 20′ beginner and intermediate boxes of steel construction with plastic riding surfaces.     Our terrain park will have 2 flat 10′ beginner rails as well as a 20′ intermediate round rail. There will be some challenging additions such as a beginner 16′ battle ship kinked rail as well as a 16′ intermediate rainbow rail. In addition, we will also be adding man-made and natural jib features such as barrels, and logs that can be used to slide or jump over or tap with skis or boards.

    SnowboardingYour feedback is important to us! We would like you to let us know what you think of the new features or tell us what you would like to see. We will use this information to expand on our design, possibly incorporating an additional run for a new more advanced park in the future. Our goal this year and into the future is to provide a safe, fun and exciting area for snowboarders and skiers to test and expand their freestyle skills. We hope to give all of our park riders a positive experience while at Treetops and plan to expand our park to best meet the needs of our customers each year.
