Crystal Mountain ~ World Snow Day Celebration ~ January 19, 2025

In celebration of World Snow Day, Crystal Mountain is offering a variety of activities geared to introduce "first timers" to the great world of snow.

12pm - 4pm: View a Snow Gun and Groomer up close! Located on the slopes behind the Crystal Center.

Crystal Mountain – Airsoft Biathlon – February 9, 2025
[ February 9, 2025 to February 10, 2025. ]
Join us as we combine airsoft and cross-country skiing into our Airsoft Biathlon! The ski trail will be a one-mile long loop with two target stations. Must be 8 years or older to participate.
Cost: $25 per person. Includes cross-country ski equipment rental and airsoft equipment.
Time: Start times will be staggered and available between 1-3pm in groups of [...]

[ March 15, 2025; ] Saturday, March 14th, is our annual SPRING CARNIVAL. We’ll have music on the slopes, the Snow Bar & Grill will be open, a Rail Jam, Costume Parade and everyone’s favorite: the Big Air Contest! Come out and be a part of the best day of the year and don’t forget your costume.

FROM Forbush Corner Cross-Country Skiing >> Open 9-5. Winter has returned. The surface has firmed up with the colder temps. Skiing should be pretty good, but do dress warmer than Saturday and Sunday. Everything was groomed yesterday, so the groomer will redo some of those trails today, the main loop for sure. #forbush #SkiMichigan

Fresh classic tracks were set yesterday on Yellow, Brown, Blue, M-93, and Easy Return.
This morning Groomer Dan is out in the PB100 resetting track and laying fresh corduroy on Red and Jugivny. Conditions remain strong as we head into the final stretch of winter.
⛷️ Downhill & Tubing — Closing Weekend Ahead
It’s hard to believe, but we are approaching the final weekend of downhill and tubing operations for the 2026 winter season. What a year it’s been — Friday night lights, packed tubing lanes, ski school wins, race team moments, and countless smiles. We’re grateful for everyone who made this winter one to remember.
Here’s how we close it out:

FROM Caberfae Peaks >> Winter is back! Today’s forecast is calling for a high around 18 degrees. The NWS has 2″ of snow in the forecast for Tuesday.
We will be making snow this afternoon. Look for the guns to fire up by mid afternoon and we will be making snow throughout the night and into Tuesday morning.

The ice on the trees collected more snow and they are very low hanging branches. 6 to 10 inches of new snow and the poor old Jeep is having tough time and is over heating.
